Cleverley posted this to our Houston Chowhounds board this morning, and I simply couldn’t resist…
From British food writer Andrew Wheeler’s blog, Very Good Taste, comes this list of 100 things that — apparently — you should eat before you die. Here’s how it works:
1) Copy this list into your blog or journal, including these instructions.
2) Bold all the items you’ve eaten.
3) Cross out any items that you would never consider eating.
4) Optional extra: Post a comment here at www.verygoodtaste.co.uk linking to your results.
There’s not a lot that I won’t eat (so you probably won’t see many strike-throughs). However, that doesn’t mean there isn’t a lot I haven’t yet had a chance to try. And I think this list is as good a place as any to start…

What food do you wish had made the list and didn’t? Which of these would you never eat? Which of these would you eat over and over again? Go on, food bloggers. You know you want to do the list, too…

Absinthe. I would drink it every morning and night if I had easy access to it. I would snort it out of shot glasses, all sorts of fun shit like that.
Vegemite should be on the list because once you eat it you would be at peace with death. It may even be more pleasant than the pasty brown stuff coating your tongue.
I was first! HAHAHA you all suck.
Dude, I love jello shots. Don’t hate!
I agree with John about the Vegemite — Im surprised it isn’t on the list, considering that the list came from a Brit.
Katharine, I am proud of you! For one so young, you have amazing courage and a very eclectic palate. You are several items ahead of me on this list.
